Alex Hammerli: A New Yorker’s Potential Journey to the White House

Born in Manhattan at Lenox Hill Hospital in 1992, Alex Hammerli is a born-and-raised New Yorker with a story as dynamic and complex as the city itself. Growing up in a gated community and attending private school his entire life, Alex is the first to admit that his life might sound like a story from TV. But while his background may bring "Gossip Girl" to mind, Alex’s reality was far from glamorous. Like many Americans, he faced bullying and isolation, though he found solace in a passion for video games and pop culture that later led him into the entertainment industry.

Alex understands what hard work means. He spent four years at Target, taking on all the challenges of retail and gaining a deep understanding of the demands of jobs that millions of Americans rely on. “I know firsthand that for many, that job isn’t just a stepping stone but a career. I’ve been there,” he says.

Alex built a career in entertainment, becoming a member of the Screen Actors Guild and The Writers Guild. But his roots remain firmly grounded in his love for the everyday American experience, his unwavering support for the Knicks, Yankees, and Jets (with a promise that while he might not be able to get the Jets a Super Bowl, he’ll try!), and his regular streams on Twitch. His favorite show? The Vampire Diaries, Succession, The White Lotus, The Last of Us and Fallout.

Alex’s view on politics is refreshingly honest. He isn’t interested in a Democratic Party that “sounds like an HR department everyone hates.” He’s here for real change, for the voices of those who feel overlooked, and to fight for the hardworking Americans who deserve leaders who get it. With an espresso martini in hand and a New Yorker’s spirit in his heart, Alex Hammerli is ready to lead with authenticity, humor, and a deep respect for what makes America great..
